COME HOLY SPIRIT
Preparing Our Hearts for Pentecost
Last year at Pentecost, we reflected on what the disciples did in the lead-up to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. For ten days, they gathered in unified, persistent prayer—waiting, seeking, and preparing. We asked ourselves, why can’t we do the same? And so, this guide was born.
While it may not be practical for us all to meet together for ten straight days, it is absolutely possible for our whole church family to join in prayer from May 29 to June 7, leading into Pentecost Sunday. Our invitation is simple: participate as you’re able, and align your heart with the Holy Spirit, expectant for what He desires to do in us and through us this year.
This devotional and prayer guide draws from Joel 2 and the book of Acts, calling us to go deeper in devotion and press in harder after God. Whether you're new to prayer or seasoned in intercession, our prayer is that you’ll come to Pentecost Sunday with a heart ready to say, "Yes, Lord," to whatever He may speak or place upon you.
Consider taking it further. Fast something. It could be food, social media, coffee, or television. Lay something down and take up prayer. Let’s set our hearts together, believing for a fresh move of God in our region for His glory.
We’re believing with you.
With love and anticipation,
